This book is interesting, but worth waiting until it gets to the library. Carschooling is not a new idea, and many kids like mine learn naturally in the car, when we can talk and discuss things. I am not sure how safe it is to preplan things for the car that you might need to provide assistance for, etc. Seems to me carschooling is something that moms already do, not just one person’s original idea. This author seems to think she has the corner on this idea , and really its nothing new that I haven’t seen before. Well written however, and worth buying if you have read everything else. Nice to have a new homeschooling book on the market to read–

As summer rapidly approaches, I began looking for entertainment for my children on our long drives. Sure I could throw a DVD in the player, but I really want interaction amongst my children, my husband and myself.

A friend told me about Carschooling and there truly is an abundance of activities in this book to entertain children of all ages, not to mention my husband and I.

With so much rain here in Northern California the past few months, we have incorporated some of the activities while stranded in the house for days at a time!

Diane Flynn Kieth is so creative!!

This book is a must have – what’s next? Can’t wait to see!

This book is a lifesaver for anyone trapped in a car with young children — and even the older ones. I was simply astounded at all the fabulous ideas for activities I found in the Carschooling book.

I found interesting tidbits — things I had never heard of, fun activities, games, songs, humor and more. This book actually helps make family travel fun again.

Diane has hit the mark again with the 2nd edition of Carschooling. Those annoying “are we there yet?” questions are gone! The activities are easy to do and keep the kids occupied during both short and long trips. A must for every parent’s sanity.

Carshooling is a great book for the homeschooling family. The ideas in it are so easy and fun to use. Your children will not realize that they are learning when you use these ideas in the car where ever you go.
